Training for workers of state health inspectorate
On 7th of October, one-day training with the subject “Capacity building for the prevention and detection of human trafficking cases” took place which was organized by the “Hope and Help” NGO in the framework of the “Armenian Capacity Building for the Fight against Human Trafficking” project. The project is financed by US state government Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement affairs (INL).
The speakers of the training were the chief legal advisor of the project against trafficking implemented by the OSCE Yerevan office, Doctor of Law Sciences, docent David Tumasyan and the president of “Hope and Help” NGO Yenoq Shatvoryan. Davit Tumasyan has introduced the participants the definition of human trafficking or exploitation, the actions and methods used by them, as well as the Republic of Armenia and international legislation regulating the sphere of trafficking. He further introduced the specifics of the child trafficking and the “Order of Actions for the Victims of Trafficking or Exploitation”. Further, Yenoq Shatvoryan introduced the assistance and support by the non-governmental organizations to the victims of human trafficking.
