On December 2 we mark the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.
While slavery sounds like something from the past, there are more people in slavery today than at any other time in history.
More than 40 million people around the world are victims of modern slavery. If they all lived together in a single city, it would be one of the biggest cities in the world.
For months, threatening emails were received from the fake user named “Aziz Muradov”, registered on Facebook, by the mothers, sisters and wives of the boys who had been detained and disappeared during the war. Many of them, believing that they would save their relative, reacted to the person presented as an employee of the penitentiary institution of Azerbaijan and became another victim. Meanwhile, the Armenian citizen represented by Muradov had long been looking for, finding and targeting them, forcing them to send nude photos and videos.
