On July 1st regular session of the interagency working group took place. The group was initially created for identification of beggar and vagrant children and for solution of the problems associated with them.
Staff members of respective services of RA Police, Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, Yerevan city hall took part in the session.
The meeting was also attended by responsible representatives for the custody and guardianship of four committees, the representative of Human Rights Defender’s Office.
Welcoming all the guests, head of 3rd Division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the RA Police Nelly Duryan mentioned the urgency of the issues raised during the session discussion, as they related to the care and upbringing of children.
The subject for the main concern were seven infants from three families namely begging of the children, study dropouts, as well as their health care and proper education organization.
Summing up various proposals during the discussions, Nelly Duryan provided respective recommendations to the heads of Juvenile division encouraging the latter to be involved in the solution of the problems in collaboration with representatives of interested stakeholders.
