As part of the project “Combatting Trafficking in Persons in Armenia: Improving Victim Identification and Referral Systems”, funded by the IOM Development Fund, IOM Armenia organized a two-day event on 12–13 June 2025 to strengthen proactive and intelligence-led identification of potential victims of trafficking in persons (TiP).
✅ Day 1: The newly developed trafficking indicators were presented that will power an alert tool integrated into the workpermit.am system to help flag potential cases of trafficking for further investigation by relevant authorities.
✅ Day 2: A practical workshop with a focus on proactive identification strategies, the importance of continuous data collection, and strong inter-agency cooperation brought together key stakeholders from the Migration and Citizenship Service, Police of the Republic of Armenia, Investigative Committee, and civil society organizations.
